Société des Brasseries du Maroc is the only Moroccan beer brewer founded in 1919, some of the popular produced beers are Spéciale Flag and Pils Flag, pilsner which are brewed in Tangier, and Stork, a light lager, brewed in Casablanca.
The premium Morocccan beer is Casablanca, also a lager, it is local Moroccan beer brewed, bottled and produced in Casablanca.

Heineken is locally brewed by Brasseries du Maroc, Budweiser, Corona, Castel, 33 Export and Beaufort are imported and distributed by Brasseries du Maroc.

Where can I buy beer and alcohol in Morocco?

Major supermarkets have sections stock with all kind of local and imported alcohol drinks including beer. Liquor stores can also be found in downtown most Moroccan Major cities like Casablanca, Marrakesh, Agadir and Rabat, and they cater for both Moroccans and foreigners.
Most restaurants, casinos, and night clubs serve beer and liquor drinks.
All alcohol shops including supermarkets are required by law to refrain from selling alcohol during the month of Ramadan.

Re: Couscous: A Moroccan Tradition
Scott, Your blog bought back some nostalgic memories for me. When I go traveling, its all about the food and the memories that are triggered when I try and re-create a dish i stumbled upon on my travels(without much success).

It was just the other night that I was paging through my album, the photos depicting the utter chaos of the market streets and the beautiful colors on display. It was a visual spectacle. The food was a gastronomic spectacle. My personal favorite dish while visiting Morocco was the lamb tagine with dates. The tenderness of the lamb coupled with the sweetness of the dates was a mere delight and surprise to my palate. Thank you for helping me relive my Morocco experience. Morocco is a must-see travel destination and for more information visit www.essentialtravel.co.uk/magazine/country-guides/morocco/travel-to-morocco.asp for some great travel tips and facts about Morocco.
